LANrev’s End of Life and Your New Solution

Learn why FileWave is the clear choice for LANrev customers with multi-platform management needs.

 LANrev had a good run.

Started back in 2005, it was one of the first cross-platform Mac and Windows management solutions. Later, during its time as Absolute Manage, it was one of the first to offer mobile device management in the same console with client management.

Following several mergers and acquisitions, LANrev’s newest owner recently officially announcedthe end of life leaving many customers who relied on the simplicity and versatility of LANrev to wonder if there is a suitable replacement available.

There’s only one choice remaining, and quite a few former LANrev customers (and employees) have already discovered it.

With over 25 years of experience, FileWave offers a well-established, native solution, for your endpoint management needs across all platforms. Our true Multi-Platform Management solution provides a powerful suite of tools for managing macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, and Chromebook devices, ensuring you have the insights and capabilities needed to excel in your role.

Many members of our team worked for LANrev in the past, making a transition to FileWave seamless and easy to navigate with their help.

Lincoln Public Schools CTO Kirk Langer discussed how he made the switch from LANrev to FileWave. FileWave team member Tim Williams, VP of Global Marketing, joined with an engineer from FileWave’s LANrev transition team to provide additional perspective as a former LANrev Employee. Other topics discussed included:

  • What features and services make FileWave a natural choice for LANrev users

  • Why other former LANrev customers have already switched to FileWave

  • How to easily migrate from LANrev to FileWave
